Proper ventilation helps prevent heat and moisture from building up in your attic. A cool and dry attic helps maintain the roof’s integrity, prevent leaks from ice dams, and supports a healthy,  comfortable home year-round.

VentSure® 4-Foot Strip Ridge Vents work with intake ventilation to help improve airflow through the attic. They are flexible enough to conform to virtually any roof slope and provide a sturdy construction and design to help provide outstanding performance in all seasons.

  • Outstanding airflow – net free vent area* of 20 sq. in.^ per lineal foot
  • Unique design – flat side vents help improve air flow by keeping leaves, pine needles, and other debris from clogging the vent
  • Excellent versatility – Reinforced nail holes and corrugated ridge design provide the strength to accommodate virtually any roof pitch

*Net free vent area corresponds to the ventilation area that is open to unrestricted air flow. Generally, 1 sq. ft. of net free vent area per 150 sq. ft. of attic space is needed, balanced between intake and exhaust vents.
^This only applies to the 12” shingle-over width product. The 10” and 8” shingle-over width product provides 18 sq. in. of net free vent area per lineal ft.

Ventilation Requirements

In order to create a consistent flow of cool, dry air through your attic, you need to make sure the air has a way to come in and go out: intake and exhaust. It’s important there is a balance between the intake and exhaust ventilation to help ensure air flows smoothly and efficiently.
