Thermafiber® Impasse® Insulation Hangers and Locking Washers are designed to provide superior insulation security and support where mechanical attachment is a requirement. The patented design of Impasse® Hangers reverses the order of installation.

Performance Attributes

Thermafiber® Impasse® Hangers are designed to support mechanical attachment of perimeter fire containment spandrel insulation (Thermafiber® FireSpan® mineral wool insulation) in a way that reduces handling and speeds up installation. Unlike traditional methods, these insulation hangers allow installers to position the hangers in the insulation before placing the insulation into the spandrel opening. This reversed installation order can reduce time on site and improve workflow. The patented design also reduces the number of hangers needed compared to conventional insulation fasteners.*

Applications

These insulation hangers are used in commercial walls as part of perimeter fire containment systems and other assemblies requiring mechanically fastened insulation. They act as mechanical fasteners by securing rigid mineral wool insulation boards in curtain walls and fire-rated applications.
