Solar PROtect™ contractors are specially trained to install solar panel mounts as part of the Owens Corning Total Protection Roofing System®. Only contractors with Solar PROtect™ certification can offer you the Solar PROtect™ limited lifetime warranty, a first-of-its-kind workmanship warranty that includes solar installation.*

This system features dual-layer protection to help block water intrusion, utilizing a high-temperature rated self-adhered underlayment under the slope of the solar array, and full roof coverage of an underlayment product. It also incorporates a combination of starter shingles, long-lasting roof shingles (such as our Duration® Series), and hip & ridge shingles, along with balanced intake and exhaust ventilation.

Adding solar panels to roofs enables building upon this established system. When solar mounts are properly installed, solar can be securely integrated with the Total Protection Roofing System®, which is designed to help protect your investment by providing a strong, high-performing foundation for installation.

Owens Corning® will only cover the workmanship for the roof and solar mounts.
** Workmanship of roof and approved solar mount is covered under the Solar PROtect™ Limited Lifetime Warranty. Coverage for solar panels is not included. See warranty terms for full coverage details.The workmanship of the solar panel(s) and other solar accessory installation is not included in the Solar PROtect™ warranty.
