Miguel’s journey started in Cancún, Mexico and brought him to Texas with one mission: to give his kids the opportunities he never had. From waiting tables to building a trusted roofing business, Miguel proves that integrity and discipline, not luck, are what drive success.

Competing in Ironman races taught him grit. Bringing that discipline to roofing helped him transform his community, one roof at a time. Partnering with Owens Corning, Miguel shows that doing business the right way builds trust, loyalty, and growth.

This is the story of XYZ Roofing, and how Al Que Madruga means waking up every day committed to your family, your customers, and your word.

LEAD

Born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, Octavio Vazquez immigrated to the United States and found his passion at the intersection of sales and community building. He earned a dual degree in professional Sales and International Business from the University of Toledo before joining Owens Corning's sales team.

Octavio leads the Owens Corning Latino program, driving strategic efforts that focus on empowering Hispanic contractors with the tools, resources, and opportunities to grow their businesses. As the program Lead for Pantera pros, he is dedicated to helping others build their own path to success and achieve their version of the American Dream.

Kate Apunte was born in Quito, Ecuador, and earned a Business Administration degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. In 2023, she began working at Owens Corning, where she discovered her passion for the roofing industry and started supporting her Hispanic community.

As the program Specialist, Kate is dedicated to empowering Hispanic contractors through customized marketing strategies. By providing training programs, access to digital marketing tools, and networking events, she helps them enhance their visibility, connect with others, and grow their businesses, ultimately strengthening the community.
