EZSheath™ is a 4-in-1 structural insulated sheathing panel from Owens Corning with structure, continuous insulation, air and weather protection in one.

Most exterior walls go up in layers: OSB sheathing, then house wrap, then continuous insulation. Every layer is another trip around the building. EZSheath™ is structural sheathing with continuous insulation built in, FOAMULAR® NGX® core at R5 per inch, up to 50% lighter than a sheet of OSB.¹Engineered by Owens Corning building science and third-party tested.

Compared to traditional OSB and housewrap assemblies, integrated insulated sheathing systems can help reduce thermal bridging and better control air leakage, both of which play a major role in condensation risk and dew point location. Builders should still evaluate the complete wall assembly, climate zone, and interior insulation strategy for proper vapor and drying performance.

Are there accessories and tapes that are compatible with EZSheath?

Yes - EZSheath™ is designed to work with compatible tapes, flashing products, and sealants used to help seal panel joints, seams, window openings, and other transition areas within the wall assembly. Owens Corning offers accessory products including EasySealR® for joints and seams without the need for a release backer, FlashSealR® for window opening and thru-wall flashing applications, and other compatible accessories designed to support air and weather barrier continuity. Builders should always follow the EZSheath™ installation guide and all technical bulletins to verify compatibility when using third-party tapes or specialty systems as part of the assembly.
