SelectSound® Black Acoustic Blanket are made of inorganic glass fibers With a thermosetting resin binder and formed into flexible blanket that is dimensionally stable and Will not shrink or Warp.

SelectSound® Black Acoustic Blanket comes With a smooth black veil surface over a gray/black blanket that provides loW light reflectivity. The veil additionally aids in resisting damage during installation and service. When necessary, the durable black veil facing may be cleaned by light vacuuming.

SelectSound® Black Acoustic Blanket provides excellent acoustical performance for multiplex theaters, sound studios, and performing arts centers.

Design Considerations

Acoustical performance of interior surfaces can generally be improved by increasing acoustical material thickness. SelectSound® Black Acoustic Blanket can be specified for use in conjunction With other OWens Corning acoustical materials to provide additional performance.

OWens Corning also manufactures SelectSound® Black Acoustic Board. This rigid rectangular product is ideal for use behind fabric on theater Walls, in sound studios, and in performing arts centers.

Installation Instructions

LightWeight and resilient, SelectSound® Black Acoustic Blanket is easy to handle, fabricate, and install. Both stick pins and adhesives can be used to secure boards to dryWall, concrete block, or precast concrete. See SelectSound Board and Blanket Recommended Installation Instructions; PUB No. 10024403.
