Guardian Roofing, Gutters and Insulation co-founder, Matt Swanson, grew up around the construction industry, with his father being a General Contractor. After earning a B.A. in Finance from Saint Martin’s College, Matt began work at American Pacific Supply, a local building supplier. In 1997, Matt joined Thompson Roofing and by 1998 became the General Manager responsible for day-to-day operations. After years in the contracting industry, Matt joined his wife, Lori, to form Guardian Roofing, LLC with the goals of building a best-in-class team, providing superior customer service with a ‘client for life’ philosophy.

Award-winning Guardian Roofing, Gutters & Insulation has served the Puget Sound region with quality top-of-home solutions for almost twenty years. From the first call to the final installation report to ongoing warranty protection, the family-owned and operated company has earned the trust of manufacturers, customers, and team members in the communities they serve, including their annual HALO project where Guardian donates a full roof each year to a family in need.

Since its inception in 2005, Guardian has received numerous awards and industry recognition, including being named one of 2022's America's Top 100 Roofing Contractors and Owen’s Corning’s 2022 MVP and Product Excellence Award. In 2023, Guardian placed number 39 in Puget Sound Business Journal’s 100 Fastest Growing Privately Owned Companies in Washington State as the sole roofing companies and it was named The Seattle Times’s Best in PNW Silver Award winner for gutters.

Matt and the team at Guardian have time and again provided homeowners with the peace of mind they deserve through honesty, value in workmanship, and the commitment to do each and every job effectively. In his free time, Matt likes to spend time with his family, friends, watching his beloved Seattle Seahawks and is also an avid cyclist and gravel biking enthusiast.
